What is evoHaX?

evoHaX is the third Hackathon in the series of Hackathons focused on developing accessible technologies and will take place from the 30th April - 1st May as part of the Philly Tech Week 2016. Teams from schools, local tech firms as well as individual participants are welcome to participate. The event will also target a broader range of disabilities through collaboration between professional developers, students, therapists, and people with disabilities. The theme for this Hackathon is "Technologies for the Future: Green, Sustainable, and Accessible"

This #evoHaX will be hosted at the Design, Engineering and Commerce (DEC) Center, Philadelphia University.

What is a Hackathon?

Hackathons are events which bring together people to create real, working solutions to technology related problems. The most important characteristic of a hackathon is the collaborative environment and network built between a group of passionate and talented individuals working and learning together to solve problems by creating new and innovative solutions that can change lives.

What is different this time?

Courtesy of Blackstone at Phila U, this evoHaX will provide the participants full access to the amazing labs at Phila U during the event. This includes but is not limited to the 3D Printing, Woodworks and Electronics Lab. Besides that, we'll have more hardware to play around with, more subject matter experts, and definitely more energy drinks! It will be the coolest evoHaX yet.
